Still In Yuma

October 24, 2007 in Uncategorized by Tommy

Today makes exactly one month since I last posted anything on this site. I am still in Yuma, AZ participating in WTI and we have less than a week before the exercise ends and we are back in San Diego.

Speaking of San Diego. This makes the second time that a massive disaster happens and I’m deployed. The first was Hurricane Katrina while I was in South Korea. Now San Diego and most of South California is on fire and I’m in Yuma, Arizona. Fortunately the area where I live, Rancho Penasquitos, was not evaculated even though the fires are pretty close.

In other news, Apple’s next Mac OS update, Leopard, is due to be released this Friday and I will not be standing in line like I did for Tiger. I am pretty excited, as most Mac fans will be, but I’m more glad that I’m not home. I stay busy enough here that I do not think about this Friday too often and so my obsession is reduced greatly.

Well that’s it for now. I have roughly two months or so until I depart for my third and year long trip to Iraq. I am frantically working on a redesign of my site but it has been slow going. Hopefully the next two months will give me enough down time to work on it a bit. Adios for now and my next post will most likely be about Leopard.
